The Feast of Trumpets, also known as Rosh Hashanah, is a celebration of the Jewish New Year and the beginning of the Ten Days of Penitence. The Bible describes that Rosh Hashanah fall on the first day of the seventh month, where the Gregorian calendar's New Year is the first day of January.
