Senator Obama divorcing Rev. Wright

Senator Barack Obama is now "divorcing" himself from his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who has publicly made anit-Semtic and anit-American remarks. Senator Obama, front-runner for the Democrats, is attempting to wash his hands clean of Rev. Wright’s statements and position.

Some of Rev. Wright’s outrageous claims were that the U.S. invented HIV to genocide the minority,  the U.S. government was imperialist and racist against Africans, and that he believes the governement is capable of absolutely anything. Senator Obama says he is disappointed in Wright’s remarks and does not support him in the least, despite the fact that Rev. Wright married Obama and his wife, baptized both of their daughters and has been the family’s pastor for more than 20 years. But maybe that has all changed.

"Obviously, whatever relationship I had with Reverend Wright has changed. I don’t think he showed much concern for me, more importantly I don’t think he showed much concern for what we’re trying to do in this campaign," Obama stated.

Rev. Wright commented on his position on Israel, saying, "My position on Israel is that Israel has a right to exist; that Israelis have a right to exist, as I said, reconciled one to another. Palestinians and Israelis need to sit down and talk to each other and work out a solution where their children can grow in a world together and not be talking about killing each other; that that is not God’s will. So my position is that Israel and the people of Israel be the people of God who are worrying about reconciliation and who are trying to do what God wants for God’s people, which is reconciliation."

As a believer, What is it that you meant to elicited by this post? I'm not judging you, I just want to know your slant. Did not Billy Graham once apologies for his taped conversation with former President Richard Nixon's (R), in which he spoke in an anti-Jewish manner, ...he said that there was a Jewish "stranglehold" of the media which was ruining the United States and which had to be broken.? BBC News Saturday, 2 March, 2002, 03:05 GMT Did not Pat Buchanan once say that Slavery, was the best thing that ever happened to American blacks...? He said: America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known." Do you get the moral twist in this reasoning? These are only two examples of many right-wing commentaries which have been uttered in the name of G-d and intended to set the moral-ethical tones and indignations of thousands in right-wing politics orientations. Personally, I don't think Obama was the best pick for American democrats or our future as it impacts on Israel's wellbeing. There is an egalitarian naiveties which is endemic to Obama. However, if McCain gains the political predominance, it is my opinion we shall enter into conflict with Israel a lot sooner than the middle east politics we'll encounter under Obama. In the end the US will be delegated to a secondary or back row significance and presence in Middle East dynamics, as George Bush's policies continual to unfold and come into fruition an maturation.
